Liberty City Council met in a special session Monday.

The Council heard a First Reading on an Ordinance relating to the Property Tax Rate in the City. The rate will remain unchanged and was approved by the Council.

A sensitive topic at the past few City Council meetings has been the controversial Lanhamtown Property project that was proposed as a possible addition to the City's Trail map. There was some more heated debate Monday as the Council came to a final decision.
