A Taylor County man was arrested around 3pm Thursday after an attempted home invasion.

Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle, and Deputy Grider, responded to a residence at 677 Peyton Ridge Road, where a man was trying to break in. Upon arrival, they found 46 year old Damon R. Cruse, of Campbellsville, sitting on the front porch.

The home owner, Lyndsey Grider, stated Cruse had kicked in the front door.

Sheriff Weddle noted damage to the door and frame. In addition, there was video of Cruse kicking the door and ripping down a video camera wire.

Cruse was lodged in the Casey Co. Jail on charges of Burglary-2nd Degree, & Criminal Mischief-2nd Degree.
